New reporting from ClickOnDetroit (WDIV) says Unc's Pizza has opened at 1133 Griswold Street in Capitol Park, a Detroit-style pizzeria from the owners of Dime Store and Tony Sacco of Mootz Pizzeria + Bar.
The name honors co-owner Larry Kahn's Uncle Paul, a World War II veteran and longtime Detroit Edison employee. The room seats 80 inside with a 50-seat patio.
"We wanted to create the neighborhood pizza place we all wish still existed," Kahn told ClickOnDetroit (WDIV).
