Reporter Karen Buscemi writes that founder Michael Sana, who started the brand in 2021, built official collaborations with the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings before making the jump to retail. The store opened Sept. 12, and about 500 people turned out on day one, with a line that formed by 7 a.m. Strait has not independently confirmed this. "We wanted to be the first premium brand that came out of Detroit that is very community-focused," Sana told Hour Detroit.
