Mister Joshooa took a Detroit club career to Panorama Bar

Mister Joshooa, the Detroit DJ and music director behind TV Lounge, played Panorama Bar for the first time on April 26, 2025, joining the floor's lineup for a Berghain Klubnacht.

Panorama Bar is the upper room of Berghain, the Berlin club that has become one of the most closely watched booking rooms in dance music. A slot there reads as a kind of international stamp, and plenty of touring DJs never get one. Joshooa arrived after two decades of work at home rather than on the festival circuit.

That work centers on TV Lounge. Berghain's own event listing for the night framed Joshooa as someone who has shaped Detroit's music scene for more than 20 years, crediting him with turning the venue from a local bar into one of the city's most enduring clubs. As music director and manager, he programs the rooms, plays them, and runs the residencies that give the place its year-round identity. The club itself describes his sound as hard to pin down, pulled from Midwest house and techno.

It is a different path than the headliner model. Most Panorama Bar names build outward through tours and release schedules. Joshooa built inward, around a single Detroit room, and the booking recognized that.

For the April 26 Klubnacht, he shared the Panorama Bar bill with a lineup that ran from local Berlin residents to international names, the kind of mixed program the room is known for.
