According to the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Detroit Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers have joined a new regional initiative called Project Play: Southeast Michigan, built around a shared standard for positive youth sports. The teams are backing a national framework called the Children's Bill of Rights in Sports along with a public service announcement that launched this spring. Strait has not independently confirmed this.

Why we're watching: when the first Project Play programs reach Detroit fields, we'll cover what actually changes for the kids on them.
