Unrivaled women's basketball is bringing two games to Detroit in January 2027

Unrivaled is coming to Detroit.

The three-on-three women's basketball league will play its first-ever games in the city on January 11, 2027, staging two regular-season games in a single night at Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Detroit date comes just three days after the Season 3 opener in Boston. More host cities are expected to be announced through early October, so Detroit lands in the early part of the tour lineup.

"We're thrilled to welcome Unrivaled to Little Caesars Arena for the league's first-ever game in Detroit," said Keith Dowdican, chief operating officer of 313 Presents.

Ally Financial, the tour's presenting partner and a founding partner of the league, has deep roots in the city. The tour deal extends Ally's founding partnership with Unrivaled. "Ally has proudly called Detroit home for more than 100 years and we know how this city lives and breathes sports," said Andrea Brimmer, Ally's Chief Marketing and PR Officer.

For anyone who has not followed the young league, Unrivaled runs eight teams of six players each on a 49.2 by 72-foot court with an 18-second shot clock. Its rosters read like a who's who of the sport, with Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, Skylar Diggins, and Breanna Stewart among the names.

There is a local pull, too. Rickea Jackson, who starred at Detroit Edison, and Naz Hillmon, who played at the University of Michigan, both carry ties to the region.

The two games will be broadcast on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max, so fans beyond the arena can watch as well.

Tickets went on general sale September 14 through Ticketmaster, 313Presents.com, and unrivaled.basketball, following a presale for newsletter subscribers. The newsletter presale ran an hour ahead of the general sale.
