According to Hour Detroit, Cosm Detroit opened September 10 at 25 Cadillac Square, drawing a sold-out crowd of 1,500 to the company's fourth immersive venue in the country. The 70,000-square-foot space centers on an 87-foot-diameter LED dome, which wrapped opening night around an NFL game presented as if viewed from Melbourne, Australia. Strait has not independently confirmed this. Cosm president and CEO Jeb Terry Jr. told Hour Detroit that the venue uses "dynamic prices," and the outlet lists Detroit Lions games, US Open matches, and screenings of The Matrix and Harry Potter among what is coming.
Why we're watching: an immersive dome anchoring Cadillac Square is a real downtown bet, and Strait will cover its first packed Lions night and the full programming calendar directly.
