A downtown Detroit People Mover station is set for a six-month renovation

According to Hoodline, the People Mover's Water Square station starts a six-month renovation on September 14, with the stop staying open to the public through most of the project and closing only for a few planned two-day windows when crews work near the guideway. Strait has not independently confirmed this, and we are pointing you there rather than reprinting it.

Why we're watching: the People Mover is downtown's loop, and Strait will follow the renovation as it gets underway.
