Tech House Correspondent.
For summer 2026, we're ramping up coverage of Detroit's tech house scene. Nightclubs, parties, afterparties, and expanded coverage of Movement Music Festival. We're looking for a writer to be in the rooms and bring back pieces.
The role. The intern will write 6–10 pieces over the summer covering shows, venues, afterparties, and Movement weekend. Work with the editor on framing and selection. This is an unpaid internship position.
Who should apply. Writers with real presence in Detroit's electronic music scene. Prior writing experience preferred but not required. Detroit-based required.
How to pitch. Send a one-page pitch to [email protected] by June 15, 2026. Include: what angles you'd bring to the coverage, two or three scene-specific pieces you'd want to write, and a short bio.
