Rocket and the Detroit Lions will give Humble Design Detroit at least $300 per third-down stop this season

According to dBusiness, Rocket Cos. and the Detroit Lions will give Humble Design Detroit at least $300 for every third-down stop by the Lions defense this season, with total contributions capped at $50,000. The nonprofit furnishes homes for families and veterans leaving homelessness. dBusiness reports the program, called "Third Down Town," builds on last season's effort, when 135 third-down stops generated $42,255 for Connect 313, that season's beneficiary. "Home is the foundation of everything we do at Rocket," Doug Buser, the company's vice president of sports and entertainment in Detroit, told dBusiness. Lions lineman Alim McNeill is featured in the campaign. Strait has not independently confirmed this.

Why we're watching: Humble Design has quietly furnished homes across Detroit for years, and we will track the season's running stop count and the final check when it lands.
